About Kim Lowe

Kim Lowe is a rural based Interior designer, with a love for beautiful interiors. Rich in atmosphere and practicality, that reflect the spaces that serve the people that use them.

Kim creates homes, not just houses.

Founded in 2000 after working for Better Homes and Gardens and styling for Gardening Australia. Kim taught Interior Design in Sydney. After working in Sydney Kim decided that her heart was in rural NSW. Kim moved to the south coast of NSW with her husband, son and three cats.

Kim Lowe interiors was launched. Kim worked there for 16 years creating beautiful interiors. But having an itch to move and having spent a lot of time when she was young in the central west.

She launched K & H interiors and worked for 9 years in the central west of NSW. I have many fond memories of my life as a rural interior designer and how the internet comes and goes. Floods and droughts creating challenges that you learn to overcome to produce the final product for clients in sometimes the most problematic circumstances. Not to mention sheep and cattle blocking your morning drive to see a client.

Kim’s portfolio includes residential as well as commercial jobs. Kim is also A Dulux Colour Consultant. Kim has painted since she was very young, and this is where her love for colour and all things beautiful has helped forge her career. At the heart of Kim’s work is a unique ability to see the finished product. Budget, communication, and timely execution is key to any project’s success.

In 2022 Kim moves to the Riverina and decides that its time to rekindle Kim Lowe interiors. Now as she ventures into a new territory after losing her husband in 2018. Kim looks forward to many more exciting homes and warm country people to design for in the future.

At the beginning of our partnership, we schedule a meeting to understand your vision, requirements, and goals. We believe in clear communication and collaboration, ensuring that we are aligned on the project scope, timeline, and budget. This step allows us to establish a strong foundation for a successful working relationship.

Once we have a comprehensive understanding of your needs, I will start working on transforming your ideas into concrete concepts. We explore various design possibilities, considering factors such as functionality, aesthetics, and your personal style. Through brainstorming sessions and in-depth research, I generate innovative ideas that will shape the foundation of your project.

After the concept phase, we move on to the design and creation stage. I utilise the latest design software and tools to develop detailed plans, 3D renderings, and visual representations of the proposed design. I carefully consider every element, from furniture layout to color schemes, to ensure a cohesive and visually captivating result. Throughout this process, I maintain open lines of communication, seeking your feedback and input to refine the design further.

Once the design has been finalised, I collaborate with skilled builders and craftsmen to bring the vision to life. If custom-made furniture is part of the project, I work closely with experienced artisans to create pieces that match the design specifications. I oversee the installation process if needed, ensuring that each element is seamlessly integrated into the space.

We engaged Kim Lowe to guide us through the restoration, renovation & design of our 1937 cottage. Her input was invaluable with great design sense and colour scheme.

Problem solving and liasion with our builder were spot on. Kim thought outside the box and we were so pleased with the results. Congratulations Kim I hope you can continue with your skills.
